YaccoMaricard is a Japanese brand designing and manufacturing their much-loved sculptural cotton shirts, silks and denims. The range is particularly strong in summer although many garments are trans-seasonal and are made in Yacco Maricard’s signature simple silhouettes with elegance and comfort in mind. There are cotton shirts that can be worn on their own or as jackets and can be dressed up or down giving them a wonderful extended life. Incredibly there is no sizing in this range but, because of the cut, many will fit up to a UK size 18 or even 20. We have been selling Yacco Maricard clothes in our store in Ledbury for over 5 years and we never cease to be amazed by their addictive quality. Once you have one of their shirts, you are hooked for life.
The reasons for this are quite clear.
- They are exceptionally well made and the quality shines through every garment
- They look good on just about every shape and age
- They are perfect travelling garments, being easy to fold as only Japanese shaping allows
- They are machine washable (at 40°C) and can either be line-dried (in which case they may not need ironing) or tumble dried
- Their characteristic pleating is unbelievably easy to iron - just iron straight across the direction of the pleats.
We love these shirts so much that we want to share them with people who can't make it to our store in Ledbury. For the time being we are offering just a small selection of mainly white shirts on our website. After all, there has never been a time when white shirts weren't in vogue; they've always been a wardrobe staple. We have added just a smattering of black shirts as well. We have tried to give an indication of whom each style would be best suited to. The dimensions are approximate as there may be slight variations in manufacture so are meant as a guideline only. Shirts are arranged by the largest down to the smallest.
